The Arts + Business Council (ABC) for Greater Philadelphia, along with CapTech and other technology partners, will launch a new pilot program aimed at increasing the capability of Greater Philadelphia nonprofit arts and culture organizations to harness data and prove their impact.

The program is entitled Culture: SHIFT and the first event will be held Wednesday, June 27 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm ET. This event is designed to help creative nonprofit organizations learn about data challenges and prepare them with actionable roadmaps to help them use data effectively to increase their impact.

CapTech Senior Manager Steven Berens, Organizational Change Management, along with Ric Torres, Managing Partner, Vereti Concepts, will focus their segment on creating behaviors that drive data intake and quality along with a culture and environment that champions data. Attendees who complete the 4-hour session automatically qualify to become part of next year's ABC-sponsored cohort of organizations interested in doing pro-bono work and partnering with the business community to elevate their data literacy.

"We are beyond excited to partner with the Arts & Business Council and deliver Culture:SHIFT," said Stacey Richardson, Manager, Project and Program Management, CapTech. "The introduction of this program is close to our hearts because it allows us the opportunity to apply our expertise in Data Literacy and Change Management to the non-profit community in Philadelphia."

The Arts + Business Council (ABC) of Greater Philadelphia helps build and strengthen creative culture through high impact leadership, innovation and social impact programming.

Culture:SHIFT is a two-year pilot program that takes an innovative approach by synthesizing three service streams including: (1) Business Transformation and Change Management; (2) Leveraging Data and Analytics; and (3) Social Impact Assessment.

Year 1 of the program focuses on socializing Culture:SHIFT with regional nonprofit leaders and delivering education curricula in these focus areas to key nonprofit stakeholders. Year 2 focuses on assessment of technology, change management, and social impact evaluation capabilities against an ABC-designed competency model and the delivery of consulting services to move participating organizations through data-driven projects that increase impact.

The June 27 event will be held at the Quorum at University City Science Center in Philadelphia. To register for the event, please click on the event registration page.
