If you live near Charlotte and have an interest in big data technology, you should come join some of our Charlotte CapTechers who are presenting for the Technology Circle – Charlotte (TCC)'s industry-agnostic forum "Evaluating and Navigating Big Data Technologies in 2017" on January 26th. The forum consists of technophiles from various companies gathering together to share their experiences implementing, using, and showcasing technologies, projects, products, and related topics. The topics of this forum include:
- What works and what doesn't in real-life big data implementations
- In-depth dive in case studies from current clients working on big data implementations.
- Assessing your move to a big data platform involving IBM/Hadoop, and an ETL project using Hadoop, Hive, and Spark on a recently-started big data platform.
- Discussing best practices in selecting big data platforms, tools, and technologies.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with light refreshments being served at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Southeast – Matthews. Following refreshments will be the opening speech, introductions, and the forum itself, which concludes at 8 p.m.
