CapTech

JavaOne

Taking place in San Franscisco from October 1st through the 5th, the 2017 JavaOne conference is the largest Java convention in the world. JavaOne brings together experts and enthusiasts for an extraordinary week of learning and networking focused entirely on all things Java.

This year, CapTechers Reza Rahman and Rodrigo Bortoloto will be conducting multiple speaking engagements. Rodrigo will attend JavaOne 2017 to talk about the release of the long-awaited Java 9 and Java EE 8, as well as Oracle moving Java EE to the Eclipse Foundation, which he thinks will foster innovation and collaboration, improving the future of the Java EE ecosystem.

Rodrigo says, "I'm thrilled to be a speaker this year, sharing the stage with well-known members of the Java community, Reza Rahman and Ryan Cuprak to talk about 'Taking Java EE to the Clouds.'" You can read more about the session here. He added, "As a consultant, I'm always looking to meet new developers, learn about what makes them excited and the various initiatives they are involved in their spare time as well as in the corporate world. It is critical to understand the different technologies at our disposal to provide the best solution to solve client's problems. Staying involved with the Open Source community is a great place to gain those skills!"
