Biking to Work in Denver

Bike to Work Day Denver

Get ready, get set, go! Ten employees at CapTech's Denver office plan to participate in Colorado's Bike to Work Day on June 28.

Each year on the fourth Wednesday of June, Colorado stages Bike to Work Day promote alternatives to driving. The event is intended to provide a fun way to introduce Coloradans to commuting via bicycle. Breakfast stations brighten up the morning ride and evening parties ease the return home.

"This is a great opportunity to align with CapTech's focus on health and wellness as well as community partnership," said Greg Kintzel of the CapTech Denver. "It's also an enjoyable way to connect with colleagues outside the office. We are excited to participate in this annual Denver tradition."

Most of the country celebrates Bike to Work Day in May, but Colorado holds off until June because of the likelihood of snowy weather in May, especially in mountain communities. In the Denver area, the annual event is sponsored by the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Many other areas of the state organize their own events.
