Q: What first attracted you to CapTech?

A: Having started my career at a very large international consulting firm, I was attracted to CapTech by the opportunity to join an exciting and growing firm where I could make a direct and tangible impact. The leadership has always valued the opinions and ideas of all employees, and the entrepreneurial spirit was obvious in everyone I met when I was initially considering CapTech.

Q: What makes CapTech a different type of consulting firm?

A: The focus on client relationships and the team-centric nature of the company are amazing. We've created this great culture, which comes through both internally and in client-facing environments, that is built on an energy and a passion for succeeding as a team. You can feel this in everything we do, from recruiting to client delivery, and it makes CapTech a really special place to be.

Q: What is special about the culture in your office?

A: It's a very exciting time for our Philadelphia office. We saw significant growth in 2015, and this year we continue to attract highly talented people who add to the energy and excitement. Given our current office size, we operate with more of a start-up mentality, offering tremendous opportunity for each individual to get involved and contribute. It's very easy to see the impact of those contributions.

Q: What do you love about working at CapTech?

A: I love the fact that, as a company, we are very flexible and nimble. I know that we're always going adapt and make changes, when necessary, to remain the best consulting firm to work with and to work for. It's a great feeling when you can go to work each day and find yourself surrounded by talented, fun, and energetic people and know that we'll always be competing for and delivering relevant and exciting work for our clients.

Q: How is your office making an impact on the community?

A: Our Philadelphia-based consultants are passionate about serving the community that we live and work in. We've been open to many different suggestions from our local consultants over the past few years, and these have resulted in a wide variety of contributions, from large corporate events and sponsorships with organizations, such as the March of Dimes and The Moyer Foundation, to smaller volunteer activities with Philabundance, Cradles to Crayons, and Rebuild Philadelphia. We've had the opportunity to give back in many ways, and we look to continue that going forward.

Q: What exciting news is happening in your market?

A: Philadelphia, one of the largest cities in the country, is undergoing a transformation. Millennials are moving to Philadelphia at one of the fastest paces in the entire country. The Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and other organizations realize this and are looking for ways to continue that trend and capitalize on it. An increasing number of collaborative partnerships are being initiated, for example, the Healthcare Innovation Collaborative, which seeks to bring top regional healthcare organizations together and give them more direct access to innovators in the space. The idea came out of the city's CEO Council for Growth, a unit of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

Q: CapTech is experiencing significant growth. What benefits does that offer our clients? And our recruits?

A: As we continue to expand, both within our current markets and into new markets, our clients gain access to greater breadth and depth of experience. Our continuing to be ranked as one of the nation's top consulting firms to work for and our moving into new markets create a snowball effect, helping us attract the most talented consultants. Internally, our growth creates an endless set of opportunities to build a career and make an impact.

Q: When you are not in the office, where can we find you?

A: You can probably find me on an athletic field or in a gymnasium, either coaching or cheering on one of the youth sports teams my kids are involved with.

Q: What are you looking forward to in this year?

A: Our Philadelphia office, in particular, and CapTech, in general, are set up for a hugely successful 2016. In Philadelphia, we have attracted a ton of great talent, both consultants as well as internal staff members, who support recruiting and business development. We also have developed strong client relationships. All the pieces are in place for a breakout year.
