My attraction was to a combination of people, opportunity to build a Columbus office, and the differentiated commitment to quality. The feedback I received prior to working here from others engaged with the company was consistent and passionate about their positive experiences with CapTech. I remember thinking 'I wish I knew about CapTech in my previous role.'

What makes CapTech a different type of consulting firm?

CapTech has a 'Lean In' approach to everything: the work, people, community, and growth. It's really refreshing. When I've asked for perspective, input, or help, the responses are consistently prompt and high quality. This allows CapTech to deliver beyond the skills of the individual consultant because we're backed by a broad and highly skilled team who is very open to sharing and contributing.

What is special about the culture in your office?

Our office is emerging, as is the culture. We've grown from two to eight consultants in the past three months, so very exciting, and, at the same time, these individuals are shaping our culture. We're very careful in our hiring processes and the growing team is fantastic. At this point, I'd describe our office culture as Contributing: everyone is giving a lot more than they take. It's really exciting to see collaboration, energy, and the commitment to our clients, each other, our community, CapTech, and growing our local office.

What do you love about working at CapTech?

The people. We have this fantastic balance of intellectual rigor, compassion, support, and energy for fun, which results in great projects, outcomes, and experiences.

How is your office making an impact on the community?

That's emerging with our office. We have time and energy to share with the community, and our local team has a range of passion for local community contributions. Currently, we have a number of people who are riding in Peletonia, and our team is volunteering at the mid-Ohio food bank. We are also in the process of engaging with other local community opportunities using our application development skills to help build and serve in a more significant manner.

What has been your favorite experience as a CapTecher?

My favorite experiences relate to that pleasant surprise when there's a challenge at hand and I have the entire local office as well as senior leaders 'leaning in' to help. It's not uncommon for a CapTech senior executive to engage on an issue immediately, sometimes jumping on a plane to be in Columbus supporting the team in person. Those moments never grow old.

CapTech is experiencing significant growth right now, what benefits does that offer our clients? Our recruits?

For clients, our growth is especially exciting because our 'lean in' approach brings the best of CapTech to specific situations. As our talent base grows, the perspective and insight we offer grows. For new team members, it's the opportunity to develop, shape, and build a business, practice, or product that solves client problems and allows them to pursue an interest or passion.

When you are not in the office, where can we find you?

I have two teenage children, so I am most likely near a court of some sort. What I love about CapTech is a clear understanding of work-life balance, patience, and flexibility to spend time on projects out of the office as well.

What are you most looking forward to over the next 12 months?

Continuing to build CapTech in the Columbus area. We have a great story to tell, we are attracting some fantastic people, and can have a meaningful impact with the community. It is very exciting to be part of this expansion.
