CapTech is once again a proud sponsor of Appian World 2013, from April 29 to May 1, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC! The conference kicked off yesterday with training and a Welcome Reception and we are looking forward to an exciting two days of learning and networking with our peers in the Business Process Management (BPM) industry. If you're in town, feel free to stop by the Appian World Sponsor Pavilion (booth 17) where we are excited to re-connect with old friends and meet many new Appian customers, partners and fellow BPM professionals over the next couple of days.

As we have done in the past, we will be blogging a summary of our experiences each day of Appian World, giving you a high level summary of the keynote speakers, breakout sessions and training topics covered over the next 48 hours. Additionally, I will be giving you some quick hits on emerging trends in the BPM industry that are common themes or hot topics here at the conference, and how those trends may impact you as our colleagues and clients.
Already, it's clear that the concept of work-social – combining how we do and manage our work (BPM) with cutting edge technology like native mobile applications and familiar, social, user interfaces – will be big this year. Appian provides businesses a way to simply and cost-effectively manage work while driving it to the people in organizations than need to take action to get business done in a comprehensive BPM suite. More to come on this and other trends as the conference continues.
This year, CapTech has brought our largest team ever to Appian World from three different offices! A special thanks to Drew Bowman and Scott Grobstein (Richmond), Julie Kreidel, Scott Kelske and John Livingston (DC) and Kristen Arias (Philadelphia) for attending with me this year.
Over the next couple of days, feel free to comment on what we're blogging or reach out to me directly (doconnell@captechconsulting.com) if you have anything in particular you'd like to know more about. Stay tuned.
